Student finalists from across the university will take center stage at The Lyric Theatre on April 8 at 4 p.m. The Giovanni-Steger Poetry Prize ceremony, held in honor of the late Nikki Giovanni, will celebrate the power of poetry and creativity. A beloved poet, educator, and University Distinguished Professor Emerita, Giovanni’s legacy continues to inspire generations of writers and artists.
The event is free and open to the public, with a reception to follow.
