WHAT TO EXPECT
* Meet at the covered picnic area by the day use parking lot.
* We will stick to the flatter, more accessible trails along the river and towards the interpretive centre.
* Dogs & kids are welcome.
* Bring comfortable shoes, a hat, water & lunch.

The Ginger Goodwin Outdoors Club (GGOC) is a group of union & non-union workers passionate about the outdoors. We organise hikes & walks once a month to spend time outside, learn about Indigenous, social movement & labour history and have fun!
We are a part of the South Island Workers Culture & Education League (SIWCEL), a newly formed group which seeks to “build connections and solidarity between workers through culture, community care & education”.
TERRITORIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
GGOC & SIWCEL are based on the territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ Nations. We acknowledge their ongoing stewardship of these lands & resistance to colonialism. Part of our time outside is about learning from the land & supporting Indigenous stewardship.
