Created out of a passion and love for a chapter in the history of rock ’n’ roll and R&B distinct from any other, Gillian Sings Janis celebrates the music and voice of Janis Joplin. Best known as the leader of the Whiskey Jerks, smokey-voiced singer Gillian Snider has put together a set list that includes such Joplin classics as Me and Bobby McGee, Piece of My Heart, and Mercedes Benz. Joining Gillian on stage are Dirk de Boer (guitar), Guy Perrin (guitar), Pete Oldridge (piano), Gord Mosher (sax), Jay Metheral (bass), and Fabian Minnema (drums).
