Create luminous floral art with watercolour and gold leaf in a relaxed, creative setting.
Join artist Kat for a beautiful two-hour creative workshop where you’ll explore the delicate art of watercolour painting enhanced with gold leaf. Inspired by seasonal flowers, you’ll create your own A5 floral artwork to take home.
This session is perfect for beginners and those with some creative experience—no prior knowledge is required.
What You’ll Create
You’ll paint a soft, expressive floral composition using watercolours, then elevate your artwork with shimmering gold leaf applied around the outer edges of your image. The result is an elegant, contemporary piece that catches the light and feels truly special.
What You’ll Learn
- Watercolour fundamentals: brush control, layering, and paint application
- How to build depth and movement in floral artwork
- An introduction to gold leaf techniques, including:
- Preparing your surface
- Applying adhesive size
- Laying and sealing delicate gold leaf
- Tips for achieving a clean, luminous finish

About Kat
Kat is a self taught artist, who embarked on an exhilarating art adventure during the lockdown period. I'm constantly learning and experimenting with new materials, techniques and styles, always pushing the boundaries of my artistic abilities and taking inspiration from the world around me. I aim to capture the beauty and tranquillity of nature in my artwork and work in a range of mediums including watercolour and print.
