Straight from their tour of the South of England the 3 Daft Monkeys are coming up North to headline our Gig 4 Gaza benefit gig.
The 3 Daft Monkeys is a world-music influenced band from Cornwall, and we are lucky to get them this far north, and in New Mills! They are recognised as a dynamic live music sensation popular at festivals such as Glastonbury, Beautiful Days, Bearded Theory and The Green Gathering.
With Celtic, Balkan and Gypsy influences their infectious dancing rhythms lead you through a musical journey of the senses and will leave you breathless, enthralled and exhilarated.
Supporting them are Animal Byproducts, Shake Rag, Galaxy Monster, Nico Harmony and Zerene,
Animal Byproducts, who take their cues from punk music, create a distinctive brew of catchy tunes, quick-paced guitar riffs, and defiant lyrics. Their music exemplifies punk's aggressive, confrontational attitude toward society conventions.
SHAKE RAG are an authentic four-piece Punk Blues group from Manchester. Drawing on influences from the best of Blues, Rockabilly, 60’s Garage and Punk.
This is a volunteer lead event, and all proceeds will be going to Medical Aid for Palestinians, the Palestinian Children Relief Fund and Youth Matters.
