Summary:
The annual Gibraltar Weekend returns for 2026! The weekend, organised by the REA Gibraltar Branch will allow Sapper Family members from near and far to catch up in the historic location of Gibraltar.
Reception Centre. We will hold three reception centres in the days leading up to REAW26. Locations and timings will be published nearer the event, but the reception centres will be:
1) Wed 10 Jun 26 (1500-1730hrs) – NAAFI Coffee Shop, Ocean Village
2) Thu 11 Jun 26 (1500-1730hrs) – NAAFI Coffee Shop, Ocean Village
3) Fri 12 Jun 26 (morning/lunchtime) – tbc Guests that arrive prior to the start of REAW26 are strongly encouraged to ‘check-in’ at one of the earlier reception centres, to minimise any delay on the Friday of the Weekend.

Powerboat Trip. We hope to run powerboat trips within the Bay of Gibraltar and surrounding area starting at approximately 1230hrs.
Meet and Greet. A Meet and Greet function will be held during the afternoon of Fri 12 Jun starting at approximately 1230hrs. We hope this will be in the JPDU facility in Gun Wharf (as previous Weekends) and will include hot food; entertainment and the REA Gibraltar Branch raffle/auction. This is an informal function, and so the dress will be casual.
Parade and March Past. On Sat 13 Jun at lunchtime, there will be a March through Main Street from Grand Casemates Square, and we hope the Mayor of Gibraltar will be available to take the salute.
REA/Corps Photograph. After the march, there will be a REA/RE photograph for all members and Standards.
Mayoral Reception. There will be a new Mayor in place for June 2026, and so we hope that the marching contingent will be invited to a Mayoral Reception in City Hall after the march.
Gala Dinner. A formal Gala Dinner will be held on the evening of Sat 13 Jun. The evening is likely to include reception drinks; a seated 3-course meal; entertainment; disco.
Church Service. A Church Service will be held on Sun 14 Jun in Kings Chapel.
Farewell Function. There will be an informal social gathering on Sun 14 June, that will run through the afternoon with a casual dress code and will include food; disco; REA Gibraltar raffle.
Tours. We will run some form of stand-alone tour options on Mon 15 Jun – details will be published in due course.

- Are you attending the meet and greet?
- Do you intend to take part in the power boat rides?
- Are you attending the Corps update?
- Will you be marching in the parade?
- If you are marching, will you attend the Mayoral reception?
- Will you be attending the Church Service?
- Will you be attending the farewell function?
- Are you attending the Tours on Monday?
