Marking 400 years since the death of the great English Renaissance composer Orlando Gibbons, this concert celebrates his enduring legacy through performances of some of his most iconic masterpieces. Featuring his richly expressive verse anthems accompanied by viol consort, the programme also includes two newly commissioned works by Academy composers, offering a contemporary response to Gibbons’ timeless artistry.
