The Cerne Giant, Edwold, Hercules, AngloSaxon ancestors - An afternoon of poetry and evocative retellings of ancient storiesJoin Rebecca Danicic, Fourth Bard of Dorchester (Caer Dur 2025–26), and Peter Roe, Grand Bard of Dorset (2024–29), for an afternoon of poetry, stories and spoken word.
The Bards will present a layered palimpsest of Cerne Abbas and the Giant - myth and history, Hercules and Eadwold, landscape and legend - woven through original verse and evocative retellings.
Expect wit, gravitas and a living bardic tradition brought vividly to life beneath Dorset’s most iconic chalk colossus.
