Keen to dive with us for the epic Giant Australian Cuttlefish mass breeding event in Whyalla? Tens of thousands of these colour-changing creatures gather in the shallows from May to August—it's the only event of its kind on the planet! Located Primarily at Stony Point and Black Point in the Cuttlefish Coast Sanctuary Zone near Point Lowly, 15km northeast of Whyalla South Australia.
We’re heading over for a long weekend of shore diving and would love for you to join.
📅 The Trip Details
* When: Friday, July 10 to Monday, July 13
* Diving: Two short or one long, single-tank shore dives on Saturday and Sunday (July 11–12)
* Where: Stony Point / Point Lowly (about 15 mins northeast of Whyalla)
* Water Temps: 10–14°C. A 5mm–7mm wetsuit is a must! �
🛠️ What You Need to Bring
* Scuba Gear & Tanks: You'll need to pack your own full scuba setup, weights, and tanks.Nothing is available in Whyalla.
* Accommodation: We have booked our rooms at the Whyalla Foreshore Motor Inn, see below link . You can book here as well or grab your own accomodation nearby.
