Charles Dickens wasn’t the only one who knew ghosts love Christmas. Join GRIP Paranormal on19 December 2025 for a special holiday paranormal investigation of the historic Bellefontaine House in
Waterloo, IL.
The Bellefontaine House sits on the site of one of Waterloo’s oldest settlements dating back to the 1781 when Captain James Moore and five other families first settled here. Many are buried in the Moore Cemetery, less than a quarter of a mile south of the Bellefontaine House. Who will be coming home for Christmas?
During this event, you will get to investigate the main two floors of the house with members of the GRIP
team, or you can investigate on your own. GRIP will offer guests the use of paranormal investigation
equipment that will include infrared cameras, K2 meters, dowsing rods and temperature monitors to help
you document your experiences. You can also use your own equipment!

Details of the event:
• The cost for this event is $30/person.
• The Bellefontaine House event will be offered at 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM.
• There will be no refunds.
• Participation will be limited for each event to maximize the investigation experience.
• Participants must be 13 years or older.
• The building is not handicap accessible.
• Please bring a flashlight. You can also bring your own investigating equipment to document your
experiences.
• You can bring your own refreshments, but alcohol is not permitted. Disruptive and disrespectful
individuals will be asked to leave the event.
