About this Event
We come together to celebrate victories, articulate a vision for a more inclusive south, and leave more prepared for the fire next time. We acknowledge that black voices, particularly the contributions of black women, must be centered as we move forward given the attacks on their minds and bodies that have intensified since 2020. We also understand that the current political climate necessitates leadership that builds coalitions and power at a local level capable of enduring the upcoming election season.
One of the highlights of the event will be the screening of the documentary, Ghosts of a Lost Cause. This film will serve as a catalyst during this gathering, inspiring attendees to stay civically engaged and liberate spaces in their communities whilst leading with principles grounded in justice, equity, diversity, and inclusivity.
