Emerging from a small corner of Iowa, USA, Winter Wayfarer is a progressive rock group determined to catch your ear with an intriguing, new sound to come from the Midwest. The project itself was born out of a solo endeavor by frontman, Collin Hop in the early 2010s. The debut full-length album, Keep Close, released in October of 2017, was a culmination of experimenting with folk, jazz, and chamber music inspirations and blending them with rock and post-hardcore approaches. Since then, the band has shifted and grown into a four-piece outfit with a focused and energetic attitude. With large concept-driven stories, theatrical vocal stacks, and dense instrumental arrangements, Winter Wayfarer delivers a poignant reflection of the surreal, spiritual, and introspective landscapes.
