Prepare for an evening exploring the unexplained as we investigate the mysteries that may reside within the museum after dark.đź‘» Dare to Investigate the Unknown
What happens when the lights go out inside one of Amherst’s most historic buildings?
Join Paranormal Phenomena Research & Investigation (PPRI) — Nova Scotia’s oldest registered paranormal society — for a rare opportunity to participate in a real paranormal investigation inside the Cumberland County Museum and Archives.
After the doors close, you will explore the museum alongside experienced investigators as we search for evidence of unexplained activity.
🔎 What You Will Experience
Throughout the evening, participants will:
• Hear the history and reported paranormal experiences connected to the museum
• Learn how paranormal investigators conduct real field investigations
• Explore the building after hours in small groups
• Participate in live investigative experiments
• Attempt to communicate with potential spirits
Each and and every investigation is different. Some nights are quiet, while others produce truly unexplained moments.
🧠Investigate Alongside with PPRI
The investigation will be led by members of Paranormal Phenomena Research & Investigation (PPRI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the documentation and research of paranormal phenomena across Atlantic Canada.
You will work alongside investigators as they demonstrate the techniques used in real cases.
PPRI’s psychic medium Jodi Russell will also be present and may share intuitive impressions during the investigation.
🎙 Use Real Paranormal Investigation Equipment
Participants will have the opportunity to work with equipment commonly used in paranormal research, including:
• EVP digital audio recorders (Electronic Voice Phenomena)
• EMF meters used to detect electromagnetic changes
• Spirit communication devices
• Environmental monitoring equipment
Our team will explain how each device works and how investigators evaluate potential evidence.
🏛 Supporting Local History

Proceeds from ticket sales assist with the operational costs of Paranormal Phenomena Research & Investigation (PPRI), a registered nonprofit organization conducting research and investigations into unexplained phenomena.
A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to the Cumberland County Museum and Archives to support the preservation of local history.
