I am very pleased to announce that Ghetto Heaven Weekender No9 will definitely be taking place next year!
Hotel rooms & weekender passes will go on sale from today, firstly as priority bookings to everybody who booked last year & all the regulars, I will contact you all one by one personally between now and the end of September - then any remaining rooms & weekender passes will go on general sale to the general public on 1st October - payment deadline will be 30th November.
The hotel management has instructed that the prices of all hotel rooms will need go up by £10 p/person for the whole weekend to cover their huge increase in costs, which I discussed at length and find fair. I negotiated to keep this increase down for you all ok and I’m happy that it’s acceptable & still represents a very cheap event with the best music and best DJs.
So the prices are still from just £160p/person all in for the whole weekend, which includes 2 nights accommodation in one of the two event hotels (3&4 star), a full weekend pass wristband, plus full English breakfast for two mornings & use of all the hotels facilities.
Weekend passes (without accommodation) are £75.
I’m starting to work on the DJ line up from today and will announce it at the end of this month. I will also be confirming an artist for a live performance. The line up will be fire as usual and the music will be relentless all weekend across two rooms.
SO FIRST THINGS FIRST, COULD ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HAD A HOTEL ROOM LAST YEAR JUST LET ME KNOW VIA MY INBOX IF YOU WANT THE SAME ROOM FOR NEXT YEAR AND I WILL RESERVE THEM FOR YOU NOW STRAIGHT AWAY - THANKYOU.
Then next week I will deal with everybody who had just weekend passes last year, before putting the event on general sale on 1st October.
I confirm that I will reserve hotel rooms & weekender passes in good faith with no money to pay until the final payment date.
The event will be dedicated to the king of East Anglian soul music Richard Routledge. I can’t believe the man that helped me start the event won’t be there with all of us next year. We will do a fitting tribute to Richard and we will do him proud.
