There are an infinite number of small things all around us that make fascinating photographic subjects. The techniques necessary to make great images of diminutive subjects are somewhat different than for conventional photography. In this presentation, Lester will inform you of the basics of getting close, the terminology, and the relatively simple and inexpensive ways to get started.Using scores of great photographs, you'll learn about close-up filters, extension tubes and macro lenses; how camera types effect your technique and results; how to handle what becomes very limited depth-of-field; proper methods for the tricky aspects of close-up focusing; and even some suggestions as to what you might photograph (sure, lots of examples of bugs and flowers, too). Information here is appropriate for magnification up to 1X...and a little more.
