Join Rails to Trails Conservancy and Streets Calling at the REI Co-op D.C. Flagship for a conversation about how we can get everyone who lives in the DMV (the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region) outside within 5 minutes of where they live and how what’s happening in D.C. is a model for the nation!
When: April 19, 6–7:30 p.m. (6 p.m. discussion, 7 p.m. networking)
Where: REI Co-op's D.C. Flagship Store, 201 M St. NE
· By Metro: NoMa-Gallaudet
· By Trail: Met Branch Trail
Who:
· Mary Ellen Koontz, Rails to Trails Conservancy
· Quintin Veasley, Streets Calling Bike Club USA
· Visa Skinner, The Hike Crew
The DMV is home to the developing Capital Trails Network, which will connect more than 880 miles of multiuse trails across the region, helping more people be able to walk, bike and get outside where they live. There are so many parts of our region that are already great places to be active outside, but not everyone has access to great trails and connected walking and biking routes.
Attend this event to get the latest on what’s happening across the greater D.C. region to make it easier for all of us to get outside in our neighborhoods.
This event is free and all are welcome to attend. Please let us know you're coming by RSVPing!
