About this Event
This class covers DIY for renters. How can you improve your home in ways that are easy to remove and repair when you leave? Shit happens—so how do you fix it without paying a craigslist handyman $200? What are some common maintenance and repair issues you can learn to handle yourself without waiting 3-6 business weeks for your landlord to 'send someone by'? And what should you NOT try to handle yourself?
No guarantees, but this class can help you make your living space and relationship with your landlord better than ever, so you can enjoy your space, get your deposit back, AND have a good reference when you go.
This is an ideal class for anyone new to making their own home repairs, whether you're in your own place for the first time, recently separated from your handy partner, or trying to build your own urban survival skills. Ages 12+ are welcome (with adult supervision under age 16 please).
