Join Florida Sea Grant at UF/IFAS Extension Flagler County to learn about the ecology of our local beach dunes. Learn about beach dynamics, the role of sand dunes, and how to identify many of the species of plants that grow on our dunes. You will also have the opportunity to look at sand from our beach and other beaches around the world under a microscope!
We will also talk briefly about the Flagler Dune Monitoring citizen science program, give some updates on the project, and share information for those potentially interested in getting involved in the future!
