About this Event
Join GET Phoenix Young Professionals in Glendale as we partner with Special Olympics Arizona and volunteer at their Summer Games!
Special Olympics Arizona provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and the community.
Volunteers will assist with various event supportive tasks.
Join us for one of the largest competitions of the year! Athletes from across the state will be competing in track and field events, volleyball (offsite), and powerlifting!
Parking: Parking details will be shared via email one week prior to the event. SOAZ will follow up directly with volunteers regarding details (parking, shirts, etc.).
Where to Go: Once parked, head to the “volunteer check-in” tent to check in with a SOAZ staff member.
