About this Event
Date and time: Wednesday, November 12 · 10am - 4pm AEDT
Location: Melbourne Film Studio, 11-13 Chessell Street, Southbank, VIC 3006
Join Michael Finger and Tamron Australia for an exclusive full-day automotive photography workshop inside Melbourne Film Studio. With a dark-floor, dark-background setting, this workshop focuses on creative lighting techniques that bring cars to life.
You’ll begin with a simple “one car, one light” setup, learning how to sculpt form and highlight defining details. Step by step, additional light and bounce will be introduced to build complexity and depth, revealing only what the light touches for a dramatic, magazine-style effect. The inspiration: Japan’s iconic Racing On car magazine.
What to Expect:
• Guided shooting demonstration by Michael Finger
• Hands-on lighting setups with two incredible cars
• 1988 BMW M3 Group A rally car, the BMW France machine driven by François Delacour in Europe
• Ferrari Testarossa – an iconic 80s V12 supercar with legendary design lines
• Access to Tamron lenses, available to borrow throughout the day
