If you've Got To Get Out and learn or advance your paddle boarding, join us! For the first time this year, we are offering a our paddle board session!
All levels are welcome but note this is beginner friendly lesson so everyone will recap on the basics of stand up paddle boarding,
In this 1.5 hour coached session you will get:
- learn how to put up an inflatable SUP board (you do the pumping!)
- use of our GTGO boards (10ft 10 Torpedo 7 and Aztron boards included),
- or, bring your own board (same price).
- identify suitable water to paddle, wind, tide, dangers, 'should I paddle here'?
- learn some tricks and tips (turning, paddling, stability, speed paddling, getting 'back on')
*We have some spare boards for sale so you can buy one if you wish*
This event is for ages 13yo + only please (due to the size of boards and equipment)
Got To Get Out founder (NZ Surf qualified paddle board coach) Robert Bruce is host.

Note:
You will use either your own board or borrow one of ours (price is the same either way),
You are expected to pump up and put down your own boards - because part of the objective of this is to learn the 'how' of paddle boarding,
You must be on time please (15min before session, dressed ready to go),
Please bring:
- boardshorts / togs / quick dry top (changing room / toilet is near)
- sunscreen,
- sunhat (you can wear on the water),
- glasses preferably with strap (glasses don't float!)
- optional, booties / boat shoes (useful when walking on sand or unseen rocks)
- towel
- water bottle
- dry-bag for personal things (phone dry bag too) or else leave them behind on the beach
