Experienced climbers, join us for a full day on the rock at one of the best climbing spots in the Bay Area, Castle Rock State Park!Castle Rock State Park provides a popular site to hike and rock climb. Climbers have scaled the park’s outcrops of Vaqueros sandstone for nearly a century. The sandstone’s relatively hard exterior and unique tafoni patterns are ideal for bouldering and rock climbing. Castle Rock offers remote and beautiful climbing in the 5.6-5.11 level. The park has many climbing areas including the famed Goat Rock, Castle Rock, Cal Cliffs, the Underworld, and the Waterfalls.
This climbing day is a full day and appropriate for experienced climbers of any skill level who can tie in, belay competently and confidently at the start of the day, and have climbed previously. It doesn't matter if you climb 5.6 or 5.11, we'll get you set up on climbs that challenge you and help you develop your skills. We'll focus on getting as many climbs in as possible during the day. Your Outdoor Adventure Club guide, who is also an avid climber, will give you tips and instruction throughout the day to coach you through the climbs.
