Join Carol Folbre for a panel featuring her new book Wishbone in Trinity University's Dicke Auditorium. It's a compelling three-part event series exploring the transformative power of international travel, featuring Carol Folbre, author of Wishbone: An American Odyssey in Asia. This free public series brings together prominent San Antonio leaders to discuss how meaningful travel can shape personal values, cultural understanding, and self-discovery.
Drawing from Folbre's immersive 18-month journey across Asia in the 1980s—during which she lived among Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, and Sikhs—the series challenges conventional tourism paradigms and advocates for a more mindful, spontaneous approach to experiencing different cultures when traveling today.
