DJ Mojo Man aka Victor Mac
Finally……. we have the fabulous DJ "Mojo" Man coming all the way from Brighton for an exclusive DJ session at the Phoenix. The Mojo Man is an internationally renowned Italian-American disc jockey, famous for his many compilations (numbering around one hundred!!!) of cool 45s from his records box. These include releases by Rockstar Records UK on Koko Mojo Records as the "Boss Black Rockers" or "The Mojo Man Special" and "More Boss Black Rockers" series, just to name a few. He'll be spinning a special selection of mighty fine 45s from his legendary record collection. He's a raconteur with an out-of-the-box personality, avid record collector, and alter-ego of the renowned and award-winning musician and producer Little Victor. He specialises in Black American dance music from the late 40s to the mid-60s. He often spins records abroad at famous events such as "R&B Mania" in Turin, "Destination 2565" in Barcelona, and big festivals like the "Summer Jamboree" in Senigallia. He seldom DJs in England and even more rarely in London, so don't miss this!
DJ Elliot Kirby
Elliot inherited his passion for music of the 40s and 50s from his dad DJ Nick Kirby. He started DJing over a decade ago for "Everything's Jumpin'" in South London and also ran a rocking club night called "Club Nitty Gritty" in Southampton. Elliot has a monthly radio show on Rockabilly Radio called "Club Nitty Gritty" playing R&B, Rock n roll and DooWop. Check it out here! https://www.rockabillyradio.net. You’ll find Elliot DJing through 2023 at Bopalenas Summer Ball in July, Summer Jamboree Italy in August and Rhythm Riot in October.
