Get Creative: Crafting Hypertufa Containers and Succulent Dish Gardens

Join us for a fun and hands-on workshop in our beautiful outdoor classroom, where creativity and nature come together! In this workshop, you can choose to craft a lightweight, durable hypertufa container, design a stunning succulent dish garden, or both. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or new to crafting, this workshop offers an enjoyable experience for all.

The hypertufa workshop will start at 9:00AM and the dish garden workshop will start at 10:00AM. See the agenda for descriptions.

Each class will cost $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Registration is limited, so don’t miss this opportunity to craft, plant, and create a unique piece of living art. Sign up now and bring home a masterpiece that blends art and nature perfectly.

LOCATION INFORMATION: The Outdoor Classroom is located behind the Extension Building Complex. To access, turn onto Clower Street just north of the Extension Campus. Turn right into the third driveway. There is shaded parking on the grass near the classroom.

Workshop is presented by UF/IFAS Extension Polk County Master Gardener Volunteers.

Info: Craft a container or pot for your favorite plants. The base is Portland cement but lightweight materials are added so it is not nearly as heavy as concrete. All supplies included, but if you have a medium size box, pot, or bowl that you would like to use as a mold, feel free to bring it.

Info: Select a container and plant it with an assortment of succulents. A variety of decorative pieces and toppings will be available to help you complete your project. All supplies included.
