Join us in welcoming spring by planting native trees that support threatened native pollinators!
About this Event

Learn how to plant and care for bare-root trees, discover the importance of woody plants for caterpillars, bumblebees and more, and enjoy refreshments on a beautiful farm setting. Hosted by Hearty Roots Farm and Partners for Climate Action.

Planting holes will be pre-dug and volunteer tasks will include planting young trees, adding tree tubes for deer protection, and spreading mulch. Participants should be comfortable navigating a working farm landscape with possible areas of uneven or muddy terrain. Kids are welcome; please no pets.

What to wear and bring: We recommend bringing a water bottle, hat, and clean gardening gloves. Please wear sturdy clothes and mud-free boots to help us prevent the spread of invasive jumping worms. Restrooms, water, and snacks will be available onsite.

This event will take place rain or shine except in the case of extreme weather conditions. Participants will be contacted with any changes.
