GermanFest 2026GermanFest 2026 is set for Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6 at Quincy’s scenic South Park. This free, family-friendly event invites everyone to enjoy authentic German music, food, and refreshments—so grab a chair and settle in for a great time.
The Sister City Commission is thrilled to welcome back crowd favorites, including the Waterloo German Band and the Wurst Bavarian Band. Also returning this year is Quincy’s own Heidelberg Band, performing Saturday night from 8–11 p.m.
Festival hours run from 5–11 p.m. on Friday and 3–11 p.m. on Saturday.
Beer lovers can explore a wide selection of around 30 domestic and specialty brews, featuring 16 imported German beers and four German-style offerings from Quincy Brewing Company.
A variety of local vendors will be on hand, including Melton’s Kettle Korn, Expressions by Christine, Tri-State Sno Biz, Underbrink’s, Neimann’s, and Hy-Vee Catering & Chuck’s Grilling.
Families won’t want to miss Kinderplatz on Saturday from 3–7 p.m.—a dedicated kids’ area packed with free activities, crafts, yard games, and prizes.
Parking will be available at Hy-Vee, with shuttle service provided to the festival grounds for convenience.
