Come to Geovation Scotland HQ for their monthly community breakfast. In this session we will be joined by two startups who have been through the Geovation Accelerator programme. They will each give a short presentation about their journeys into entrepreneurship and building geospatial technologies, followed by a Q&A.

MARKED: Wayfinding System | Garance Locatelli & Mark Smith (Orchy)
Mark and Garance co-founded Orchy with a clear vision to create a world where there are no barriers to cycling. Mark has experience in transport engineering, street design and urban mobility. Garance specialises in people and planet focused innovation. Their flagship product, the MARKED: Wayfinding System, is a bike navigation system that helps riders find the city's safe cycle network through combining physical and digital approaches.

EOLAS Insights | Douglas McNeil
Doug is a systems engineer by trade, and spent a number of years in aerospace and the Scottish Space sector. This experience, combined with a background in Geospatial Science, led to the concept behind EOLAS, a company specialising in the use of Earth Observation and other data types to bring map creation into the mainstream. Since founding EOLAS, Doug has somehow taken the company through the startup phase, making all the usual mistakes along the way, and is now looking towards the scale up phase through the launch of the web mapping platform THEIA.

Geovation Scotland is a support organisation for early-stage startups innovating in location, land and property technology. Through their community and accelerator programme they provide support and mentorship specific to companies in this sector. Geovation Scotland is supported by Registers of Scotland and Ordnance Survey. Across the UK there are 1900+ members of the Geovation community, and Geovation Scotland have supported 29 companies, who've gone on to raise an additional £4.2million in investment and created over 70 jobs.
