LALKHORI
Georgian folk ensemble, Lalkhori, are coming to Oxford as part of a UK wide tour.
Created in 2021 by its director, Lika Liparteliani – a highly experienced conductor and performer, Lalkhori's members are young people and students from Svaneti, currently living in Tbilisi. They specialise in the distinctive songs and round dances of Svaneti, and they research and perform a wide variety of different examples, featuring all Svan dialects.
TIMINGS
Workshop 18.00–19.30 (doors open at 17.30)
Concert 20.00–21.00 (doors open at 19.40)
The workshop is open to all. Songs will be taught by ear, and there is no need to read music or to know the language.
TICKETS
We work hard to keep all of our events accessible to as many people as possible, while still adequately compensating our expert music leaders. To that end we are offering a choice of three price bands (Supporter. Standard and Concessionary), to suit your means, plus a Youth ticket.
Youth: 14-21 years. (Under 14s free, with a responsible adult)
