George Nazos - guitar, compositions
Award winning Guitarist and composer George (Giorgos/Georgios) Nazos from Athens Greece living in NYC has performed in Jazz clubs such as Blue Note, Appel Room Lincoln Center , Mezzrow Jazz Club, Jazz Forum, The Bar 55, Cornelia Street, Club Bonafide, Linda's Jazz Nights and many others.
He has an international career with performances in Festivals and clubs world wide. (Zinco Jazz Club Mexico City, Technopolis International Jazz Festival Greece,River Fest Bronx, Shablul Jazz Club , Beit Ha Amudim Israel, Limassol Jazz Festival Cyprus and many more. His albums as a leader have been featured in radio stations around the world and have received extensive reviews from the press.
Joe Abba - drums
Born in the Bronx and raised in Dutchess County, he began playing drums at age nine and has continued to this day. He holds a B.M. from The Crane School of Music and an M.A. from New York University and has been playing drums & percussion for over twenty years. His musical directions are vast: jazz, pop, rock, hip hop, big band, latin, experimental, funk and more; this diversity of style stands as the basis for his musical path. This international journey has taken him to cities and countries such as Mexico, Montreal, Toronto, Colombia, The Dominican Republic, Turkey, Italy, Sweden, and across the United States, where he has shared his and others' music with many cultures.
As a sideman, Joe's resume is vast and varied. Highlights include performances and/or collaborations with artists such as The Bjorkestra, Militia Vox, Jessica Simpson, Tommy & CJ Ramone, Pacha Massive, Collider, Jerry Jemmott, Frank Lacy, Jon Gordon, Morgan James, Dave Douglas, Donny McCaslin, Benny Rietveld, & Kurt Rosenwinkel.
Vasilios Koutsonanos is a Greek bass player, composer and educator who lives currently in New York.
He studied composition and instrumentation in the Department of Music, at the University of Music and
Performing Arts, Graz, AT. He graduated with Honors and earned a scholarship for 2 years through KUG
(Mentoring Project). He was taught by Wayne Darling, Morten Ramsboel, Mike Abene, Ed Neumeister, Jim
Rotondi, Stjepko Gut, Dena DeRose and many more.
He performed in over 10 countries and festivals like Jazzaldia in Sabastian and Bayerisches Jazzweekend.
He existed on stage with prominent artists like like Jay Clayton, Dena DeRose, Mike Abene, Wayne Brasel,
Jacob Garchik, Luis Bonilla, Maria Farantouri and many more.
He completed his master's degree at the City College of New York (CCNY) and now serves as a private
instructor in the Jazz Department of City College.
