Seeking peace, calm, and overall wellness? A weekly offering, accessible to beginners and experienced yogis alike, Gentle Yoga, restores body, mind, and spirit, through breath, movement, and mindfulness. The class is taught by trained yoga instructor Jeff Brown, who is certified RYT 200 through Yoga Alliance. Come as you are, in clothing that is easy to move in. This class is donation-based, with a suggested donation of $5-$10.
Class does not require registration in advance, but registration is required when you arrive for your first class, so plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early. Participants are expected to work within their limits and to be mindful of cues and modifications provided by the instructor. Students should bring their own yoga mat, water, and any desired props, such as a block or strap.
Please park in the lot on the south side of the church and not in the Alger Heights Business Association lot so that lot remains open for customers at those businesses. The doors on the south end of church are open from 5:45-6:05. Due to the nature of class, and for safety and security, we are not able to accommodate arrivals after this time.
