Find the perfect blend of movement and mindfulness in our gentle flow yoga class with guided meditation. Class begins with a series of gentle movements to awaken the body and open the channels so that prana (life force) can flow more freely throughout the system. From there the class moves into seated meditation and ends with savasana (complete relaxation) to integrate the benefits of the practice. This is an introductory guided practice that will include sound dharana and may include singing bowls gongs bells and Bija mantra.
This class can be wonderfully beneficial for cultivating proper awareness of breath and alignment in postures. Slow and controlled movements support strength building and flexibility and can be beneficial for both beginner and advanced yoga practitioners. Enhanced awareness throughout the practice also helps to calm the nervous system and promote relaxation.
In many early traditional yogic texts postural yoga practice is offered as a prerequisite for breath control and meditation practice. Postural yoga can prepare the body and mind for meditation releasing restlessness and providing a more stable ground to generate and experience the fruits of meditation. This gentle flow class is a supportive practice for building stable mental ground to nurture and deepen your meditation practice.

Located upstairs in the historic Sena Plaza courtyard (No. 72) directly above the Heritage by Hand shop. The Sena Plaza is located just off the main Santa Fe plaza across from St. Francis Cathedral and the IAIA Museum. Walkable from hotels on the plaza. Parking ($2/hr) is also available in the lot behind Sena Plaza. If you park in the Sena Plaza parking lot the studio is upstairs to the right as you enter the courtyard.
