April 25th at the PG Legion! We an Allstar lineup with Genevieve Jaide and Kiziah and the Kreatures! First Kreatures show at the Legion, and it’s going to be a good one! On top of all that, we have a special guest, PG's beloved Jayde! Tickets available now. Genevieve Jaide's music is rooted in the natural world, personal reflection, and the connections she's made along the way. Blending elements of folk, indie-pop, Canadiana and alternative. Her songs are both intimate and expansive, driven by honest, sometimes awkward lyrics, and a sound that moves between tender and groove-filled. Her latest release 'Why Am I Like This' navigates mental health, social anxiety, and the struggles of surviving in the world today. Offering a raw reflection of this snapshot in time. Based on Lheidli T'enneh Territory, Genevieve Jaide is joined by friends and long-time bandmates Brock Patch, Aidan Galletti-Viscount, and Justin Gendreau.
Kiziah and the Kreatures is a genre blending band shaped by diverse musical roots. Fronted by Kiziah Arias, bringing her Filipino and African-American roots, providing a sassy, soulful vocals into the mix, with guitarist Colin Hines bringing in Nova Scotian rock and roll, drummer Justin Gendreau adding surf inspired grooves, and jazz wizards Mike and Kali Kennedy on bass and keys bringing harmony and groovy improvisation.
