Sofia Waste Water System and Grindhouse Skateboard Club very proudly present swedish goregrind/death metal legends GENERAL SURGERY for the first time ever in Bulgaria !!!
General Surgery formed in 1988 in Sweden and has become a pivotal force in the grind scene. As one of the first generation of bands heavily influenced by Carcass, they managed to carve out their own identity and impact the new wave of goregrind bands that followed.
Following highly circulated demo tapes in 1990, their classic EP “Necrology” is among the most notable releases in the genre. After a hiatus until early 2000’s, they returned with multiple split EPs and eventually put out their sole full-length albums “Left Hand Pathology” and “Corpus in Extremis: Analysing Necrocriticism” that have helped them gain appreciation beyond the death metal and grindcore underground.
General Surgery’s live performances are nothing short of ferocious and are known for showcasing sterile clothing and mask use long before any modern pandemic.
The blood-stained medical gowns will show us the beautiful craft of pathological grindcore! Welcome the Grind doctors, open the body bags, GENERAL SURGERY is coming!
