Then join the Stevenson School for Ministry for our seven-week GOE prep class this Fall. The course meets on Zoom Thursdays, 5:30 - 6:30 pm EST on October 24, and 31; November 7, 14, and 21; and December 5 and 12.
Topics covered include:
- the nature, purpose, and mechanics of the General Ordination Exams
- the six canonical areas examined by the GOEs and sample questions
- key resources, test-taking skills, and time management strategies for succeeding at the GOEs
- using test rubrics to outline proficient GOE answers

The $200 cost of this course offsets the operating costs of the Stevenson School for Ministry. Meet the instructor
The Rev. Dr. Luke Zerra is Associate Dean for the Stevenson School. For the past four years he has served the GOEs as an evaluator for the Christian Ethics and Moral Theology exam. He holds a Ph.D. in Christian Ethics from Princeton Theological Seminary and also serves as Priest-in-Charge of St. Peter's, Brentwood in the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
