About this Event
Join me for a relaxed, hands on jewellery making workshop where you’ll design and create your very own gemstone ring or necklace from scratch. You will learn the basics of working with gemstones and silver while creating a beautiful piece you’ll be proud to wear (or gift!).
Surrounded by mountains in beautiful Queenstown, New Zealand, you’ll be guided through every step and learn core metalsmithing techniques such as measuring your ring size, soldering, sawing, forming, bezel setting, and finishing work.
No prior experience is needed, this workshop is perfect for beginners and creative souls of all levels.
What’s Included
- Enough sterling silver sheet and wire to complete one gemstone ring or necklace
- Access to a selection of natural gemstones
- All tools required for workshop use
- Six hours of instruction
- Additional silver available for purchase if needed
- Chains will be available to purchase on the day (card payments accepted).
Please bring a bottle of water and any other snacks you would like. There are two cafes and a restaurant at Country Lane for you to purchase lunch during the break if you wish. For safety, wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair.
Class sizes are limited to two people per class. Larger groups can often be accommodated, please reach out!
As spaces are limited, advance booking is essential. Once payment is received, your place is confirmed. Refunds are only possible if we can fill your space, so please let us know as soon as possible if you can’t attend.
