Experience one of the year’s strongest meteor showers and learn about the astrophysics behind these incredible events! The Geminid meteor shower is one of the only showers to peak before midnight, so this is a great opportunity to witness a spectacular shower without staying up too late.Chippewa Valley Astronomical Society members will also be operating telescopes to reveal other amazing astronomical phenomena.
We will be outside at night in December, so please dress warmly, and consider bringing blankets or a sleeping bag to lie in while you observe the night sky. This event is subject to change or cancellation in the event of cloudy weather.
While registration is not required, we recommend registering so that you can be made aware of any alterations.
Ages: Kids and families are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
