Our first duo workshop brings together two playful, process-led techniques: Gelli Printing and Still Life Collage.
Start by creating richly layered, textural prints using Gelli printing, an intuitive mono-printing method where no two outcomes are ever the same. It’s expressive, experimental and full of happy accidents. No experience needed. No specialist skills required. And absolutely no such thing as mistakes.
You’ll work with found objects, botanical elements, magazines and vibrant inks to build a stack of beautifully unpredictable prints. Michaele’s sessions are fast-paced, energising and joyfully hands-on, you’ll leave with a collection of unique pieces ready to use.
In the second workshop, Helen reimagines the traditional still life class. Instead of drawing, you’ll explore collage as your medium, cutting, layering and composing from mixed media, printed materials and your own Gelli prints to reinterpret the still life in front of you.
The two sessions are designed to work together. The prints you create in the first workshop become the foundation for your final artwork in the second.
You’ll leave with:�

– A completed still life collage�
– New techniques you can continue exploring at home

Your tutors
Still Life Collage with Helen Baker
Helen is an artist and art tutor who loves living by the sea in sunny Eastbourne with her Husband and two children. With a background in Textile Design, she is inspired by the patterns and textures found in nature and the everyday items that surround us. Helen teaches Life Drawing and Art professionally and her classes are wonderfully supportive relaxing and mindful.
Gelli Printing with Michaele Wynn-Jones
Art Facilitator, Contemporary Artist and Maker Michaele is a multi media artist. Coming from a teaching background, she has always created art but didn’t go to art school until attending in Scotland in 2017 and 2018. In 2019 she was accepted to study for an art MA at Brighton University. She is represented by the Patterson Gallery and her work has sold in the UK, Holland and Canada.
