Gel Plate Printing with Tev Clinton
This is a printmaking process that produces monoprints through the use of a gelli plate, a brayer, acrylic paint or ink, and a piece of paper cut to size. The most exciting part of this process is how intuitive and accessible this medium is.
Through gelli plates, exploring color, collage, and shapes becomes fun and easy. Found materials such as plants, cardboard, bubble wrap, plastic bags, ect. can be used to create patterns and textures.
Stencils and stamps can also be used to add shapes or images. The use of various stencils and images can be endlessly remixed to create a new masterpiece every time.
Materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.
