CHECK-IN AND VETTING: Novice – Check-in 6:15 to 6:45pm (Fri): Advanced – Check-in 8:15 to 8:45am (Sat). Bitches without proof of desexing to be in vetting area. All dogs must pass through checkpoint by close of vetting. All elements listed are one single trial and therefore Rule 8.1.3 applies.
JUDGES BRIEFING: Immediately after the close of vetting.
ENTRY FEE: $15 per entry.
CATALOGUE: Available on the Scent Work SA Facebook page 2 days prior to the trial.
ENTRY LIMITS: Entry limits as specified above. Should balloting be required this will occur at the Clubgrounds on Tuesday 23rd September 2025 at 7.30pm.
ENTRY AMENDMENTS: Competitors should only enter those elements that they are eligible to enter. After close of entries no further amendments to the catalogue will be made except for balloted entrants entered back into the trial. Refunds after the close of entries will only be available for balloted entries that do not receive a place back into the trial and will be processed after the trial date.
JUDGING ORDER: As above. Judging may commence with judges and stewards’ dogs followed by the remaining competitors.
SASHES AND PRIZES: Ribbons to all qualifiers. Prizes as outlined in the catalogue.
NOTE: it is not appropriate to train scent work at the trial location prior to the trial date. For this trial,a period of 30 days applies except where the training is approved Gawler Dog Training Club Inc scent work training session/workshop.
As per ANKC Scent Work Rule 11.1.1, where suitable, a dedicated spectator viewing area may be established for the Advanced Exterior element. No spectator viewing area will be available for Advanced Interior, due to space restrictions and no spectator gallery will be available for Novice elements.
Competitors should be aware that the Elliot Goodger Memorial Park is a public reserve and members of the public and their dogs may be present at the trial venue, and that the car parking area is a shared space with other organisations (BMX, football, netball Clubs) based at the Park.
ENTRIES: Online entries and payments via Top Dog Events (https://www.topdogevents.com.au) Paper entries to the Trial Secretary, 66 Eagles Nest Drive Bibaringa SA 5118. Paper entries must be submitted on the official scent work entry form. Please contact trial secretary for direct deposit details if intending to submit a paper entry. Email entries not accepted due to online being available.
CATERING: Not available.
DOGS SA HOT WEATHER RULES: If required the Dogs SA hot weather rules for Scent Work will be applied. If cancelled due to the Hot Weather Rules, Extenuating Circumstances or the Extreme Weather and Safety Rules, no entry fees will be refunded.
