Urgency does not feel like emotion. It feels immediate. A deadline tightens, silence lingers, a decision feels risky and you step in before your team speaks, or you escalate to be safe. That response feels responsible, but it quietly trains dependency and weakens ownership over time. This is not leadership theory. This is behavior under real conditions. Our first phase of GDD Foundation sessions sold out quickly as leaders sought development that installs real behavior change under pressure. Now we are opening new upcoming dates for leaders who want discipline they can use in the moments that matter most.
In Guide vs Drive Under Pressure, the first session of the Guide Don’t Drive™ Foundation, you will interrupt instinctive control and replace rescue reflexes with disciplined guiding responses. You will learn how to recognize the exact moment urgency tempts control, practice asking questions before answering, reduce unnecessary escalation pressure, and build leadership responses that preserve ownership and clarity.
This two hour live cohort session combines real time behavioral practice with leadership discipline so leaders can:
• Recognize when urgency tempts control
• Install the Guide Don’t Drive discipline of Level 3 questions
• Practice interruption under pressure
• Build ownership preserving leadership responses
• Reduce unnecessary escalation and dependency
These are observable behavior shifts that begin the week after the session. If you find yourself answering too soon, stepping in to rescue, or carrying responsibility you should not be carrying, this session helps you shift how you act, not just what you do.
