Disclaimer: The Georgia College & State University Career Center facilitates the connection between employers and candidates through Handshake. Acting as an intermediary, the Career Center aims to provide authentic and legitimate opportunities. While we verify the authenticity of posted positions to the best of our ability, the volume of jobs received prevents us from thoroughly researching every listing's integrity. Georgia College & State University Career Center assumes no control over and takes no responsibility for: (a) the truthfulness, accuracy, quality, safety, morality, desirability, or legality of employer information and position listings; (b) the ability of employers to offer job opportunities; or (c) the hiring, recruiting, or other practices of any employer. It is also important to note that the Career Center does not screen candidates based on employment eligibility. Employers have the option to include information about employment eligibility in their Handshake job descriptions under "work authorization" for the benefit of potential candidates.
The ultimate responsibility for researching a potential employer and opportunity lies with the applicant. We strongly advise using your best judgment when applying for positions, especially those off-campus. Our office is available to provide appropriate guidance when requested.
