About Global Charity Foundation
Global Charity Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, was founded in 2007 by Dr. Reeta Kaul Thukral with the purpose of bettering the lives of children. The Foundation provides funding to support the following initiatives:
- Nevada Student Achievement Program (NSAP) in Southern Nevada which provides financial support for tutoring, dual credit programs to earn college credits and college scholarships
- Cancer treatments for children in India
- Full school support programs in India
Nevada Student Achievement program (NSAP)
Launched in 2012, GCF’s signature education program provides supplemental tutoring to at-risk and less privileged students to help them succeed in middle school, high school and beyond. The program focuses on STEM subjects and provides up to four hours of tutoring per week to enhance success. In 2021, Global Charity Foundation started dual credit programs so students can begin earning college credits in high school and in 2022, GCF also started offering college scholarships to deserving students at University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) and Nevada State College (NSC).
Impact
The program has had a positive impact on hundreds of students in Southern Nevada when it comes to their academic improvement. For the last 5 years 92-100% of our seniors have graduated from high school. Over 60% of graduates have gone for college degrees.
