Start your St. Patrick’s Day Weekend with a hearty Irish Breakfast for a heartfelt cause! The Greater Bridgeport Medical Association (GBMA) invites you to join us on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 7:30 AM to 9 AM, at The Castle, Black Rock (3171 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport) for a morning filled with great food, great company, and a great mission.
This year, the Greater Bridgeport Medical Association (GBMA) will present Lifetime Achievement Awards to Harry Cronin, MD, and Charles “Jerry” Hemenway, MD; honor Maureen Pelletier, BSN, RN, OCN® with the Healthcare Humanitarian Award; and recognize State Representative Kaitlyn Shake, RN, of Stratford as Legislator of the Year. Their service and leadership exemplify the very best of our profession and community.
This special gathering isn’t just about celebrating—it’s about honoring community leaders who have made a lasting impact:
Your support of this event helps GBMA and its college scholarships for local high school seniors pursuing careers in healthcare, as well as nursing and physician awards recognizing outstanding dedication to patient care.
In May 2026, GBMA will award a $5,000 scholarship to a top graduating student from Bassick, Bullard Havens, Central, Central Magnet, or Harding High Schools—plus the four runners-up will each receive $1,000. Additionally, we will honor exceptional nurses from Bridgeport Hospital and St. Vincent’s Medical Center with well-deserved recognition and an honorarium.
GBMA has been fostering fellowship among physicians and supporting future healthcare professionals since 1893. The Irish Breakfast is not just a fundraiser—it’s an opportunity to make a real difference.
