“Caught in someone else's kind of love,” Gavin McGee’s debut studio project 'What Was Will Be Again' explores the uncomfortable side of desire distracted by vulnerable moments of optimism and self-actualization. Brimming with folk-inspired earworm melodies and playful, familiar-feeling vocals, the five-song EP is a piercing collection of raw indie-rock ballads that pull you from one end to the other.
After releasing his home recordings in 2022, McGee opened for Dualtone Records’ indie-rock hit band flipturn (2022) and most recently Boston-based funk pop band Couch (2024). Between rotting basements and college campuses, McGee grew a small following of ardent fans and dedicated a year to recording his debut studio project at the Red Caiman Studios in Pittsburgh, PA.

Sophie & Tim met when singer-songwriter Sophie Kyle Collins overheard pretty fingerpicking coming from the luthier shop in the back of Factory Underground Studio. It was guitarist Tim Cole, who also plays mandolin, lap steel, and pretty much anything else he’s asked to play. Sophie & Tim are chipping away at their shared repertoire in the studio, and hope to record about a hundred million versions of old folk songs and original tunes.
