Hello and Welcome to Toastmasters of La Jolla (TMLJ).Join with your community, in a fun & friendly way to practice public speaking, leadership skills and personal growth! 😀
Our Meetings will include the following:
1. A "Question of the Day" will be asked to everyone including members and guests. This allows people to both share something and to help introduce themselves.
2. The meeting will have one to four planned speeches and each speech will be evaluated by a member.
3. The remaining time in the meeting will allow for Table Topics. Table Topics are random, thought provoking & entertaining questions asked to members and guests to answer!
These are really a lot of fun!!
4. We encourage anyone who is interested in learning more or participating, to visit a couple meetings to get a feel for it!
If you attend and do not want to speak, No pressure, that is OK!😀
Our club's goal is to create a safe and encouraging environment for public speaking!
After the meeting, everyone is invited to "Post Toasties". Which is a great time to socialize, eat and get to know each other better. The locations will always be walking distance from the meeting!
