This gathering is an evening of community, sacred sound vibrations, mantras, kirtan chanting, and togetherness.
The word Mantra is derived from two Sanskrit roots: manas ‘mind’, and tra, meaning ‘tool’. Mantra can teach the mind to become increasingly absorbed in that which is most essential. The Upanishads tell us that mantras can lead us towards healing, inspiration, transformation & and self-realisation.
"Mantra is a conversation between the self and divinity. All too often, we separate ourselves from the divine, forgetting our truest nature. Chanting the names of God/Goddesses guides us back to a space of remembrance, of faith, devotion and love."

Calling upon the sacred sound allows your body and mind to absorb its resonance. Come and elevate yourself into a state of joy, unity, and deep connection.
What to expect from this offering:
~Vocal warm-up, Indian scale chanting
~Devotional, melodic call-and-response chanting of mantras in Sanskrit (you will learn the mantra pronunciation and meaning)
~Satsang (sat means truth); therefore, sitting in the company of the Truth, Q&A
~Company of fellow human beings and deepening the connection to your self-essence.
~ Tea and delicious homemade treats

P.S.: I know what some of you are thinking ‘’I can’t sing’’ or ‘’I am not good at singing". Please get over this false illusion as you may be missing out on a lot. We all have a voice– let’s use it. You may start by listening and then humming, eventually progressing, like any other practice.
