Gather at the Gallery is a weekly event presented specifically for the 55+ community. Each week there will be opportunities to express your own creativity through a variety of hands on workshops, meet artists and hear their stories, or preview new exhibitions. Gather at the Gallery is generously sponsored by the Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility of the Government of Ontario.
The Workshop:
During this workshop you will make your own Oktoberfest-inspired mug.
Isabella will demonstrate slab-building techniques and show you how to stamp and carve relief designs into your mug! Finish your mug with underglaze pigments to bring your deisgns to life. Glazed pieces are foodsafe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe.
During the workshop, please photograph your artwork so you can identify it when it comes out of the kiln. Thank you!
After the Workshop + Pickup:
The ceramic artworks will be fired in a kiln at the gallery. Approximately 4 weeks after the workshop, you will receive an email when they are ready to be picked up. You can also check our website here to see if your pieces are ready to be picked up.
