Families of students in grades 2–5 are invited to attend a Family Academy: Gather & Grow session focused on helping students build confidence in math. The workshop will be held Thursday, March 26, at 5:30 p.m. at J. Blaine Blayton Elementary School. Families will learn how the bar model strategy supports problem-solving, helps students organize their thinking and strengthens mathematical reasoning. The session will also share simple, practical ways families can support learning at home. All participants will receive a set of bar models to take home.
Pizza will be provided, and child care will be available for children ages 2–5.
