(7:30 beginners worksop, dance at 8)We're playing a Contra Dance! What is Contra? Many of you know... but for those who do not:
Contra dance is a,,social, community-oriented dance which originated in New England where couples dance in two long, parallel lines. Lively patterns led by a caller to fiddle-based music (us!), making it highly accessible to beginners. Participants dance with everyone in the line, with dancers typically swapping partners frequently in an, intergenerational setting. Come DANCE! Beginners encouraged, no experience needed!
